AI Capability Programme

Enterprise AI Enablement — Proposal
August 2026

Programme Goal

Enable your organisation to independently design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions by training 20 key people across departments.

Phase 1: Strategic Assessment

A structured assessment before the programme begins, covering three areas:

A. AI Readiness & Use Case Mapping

Half-day on-site with key stakeholders and technical team.

  • Map current tech landscape, data maturity, and existing AI initiatives
  • Identify and prioritise 3-5 high-impact AI use cases
  • Define initial data strategy and agent architecture for the first use case

B. Data & Systems Strategy Review

Understand your current systems landscape and identify where AI fits.

  • Map data sources, integration points, and gaps
  • Evaluate build vs buy options for AI infrastructure
  • Deliverable: data strategy assessment with architecture recommendation

C. EDB Grant Application Support

  • Introduction to EDB contact for the Training Grant (TG(C))
  • Help write the Training Plan — the core document for the grant application
  • Support HR through the application process
  • One application covers both batches (all 20 trainees)

Phase 2: AI Capability Programme

Two batches of 10 participants, each completing a 6-month intensive programme.

Weekly Structure

Every week, one full day on-site:

SessionDurationContent
Morning Workshop 4 hours Structured curriculum: new concepts, frameworks, live demos, hands-on exercises
Afternoon Reflection 4 hours Review OJT work from the past week, troubleshoot, give feedback, assign next week's tasks

Between sessions, participants apply what they learned to real processes in their area of responsibility. This on-the-job training is reviewed in the weekly afternoon reflection.

6-Month Curriculum (Per Batch)

Months 1-2: Foundation & Design

Participants learn where AI creates value and how to design the bridge from human processes to AI-powered operations.

Month 1: Fundamentals & Process Mapping

Workshop What is AI, what are agents, what's possible. Live demos. Use case evaluation: feasibility, impact, data readiness.

OJT Map 2-3 processes. Write use case brief with data requirements and context definition.

Reflection Peer review of process maps and use case briefs. Technical feasibility feedback.

Month 2: Context Design & Data Strategy

Workshop How agents use context: documents, databases, APIs. Data quality. Human-to-AI-Agent Framework. System and user prompt design.

OJT Map data sources for your use case. Define agent context. Build knowledge base structure.

Reflection Present context maps. Technical team validates data availability.

Milestone: First AI prototype deployed using the agent harness. First tangible AI product for the organisation.

Parallel Technical Track

Throughout all 12 months, your technical team receives deeper enablement:

They become the internal capability owners who sustain and extend everything after the programme ends.

How the EDB Training Grant Works

EDB reimburses your organisation for employee salary costs during training. Both formal sessions and on-the-job training count. One TG(C) application covers both batches with staggered start dates.

Formula: (Training days per month / 22 working days) x S$2,500 = grant per trainee per month

Scenario Calculator

Adjust the number of trainees and OJT intensity to see how the grant offsets programme costs.

S$909 Net cost per month
S$15,908 Net total (12 months + Phase 1)
S$109,092 Total EDB grant reimbursement

Next Steps

1
Confirm interest and nominate 10 participants for Batch 1

Select the first cohort from across departments.

2
Introduction to EDB contact

Andreas connects your organisation with EDB to explore the Training Grant.

3
Phase 1: Strategic Assessment + Grant Application

AI readiness assessment, data and systems review, and Training Plan for EDB submission.

4
Submit TG(C) application to EDB

One application covers both batches (all 20 trainees). Must be submitted before training starts.

5
EDB approval and programme begins

Batch 1 starts post-approval. Batch 2 nominates in Month 5, starts Month 7.

4-8 weeks for approval

Important: The EDB grant requires that training has not commenced at the time of application. Phase 1 (assessment) can proceed immediately. Phase 2 (training) begins after grant approval.
